Stephanie Abrams: Who is she?
Stephanie Abrams is an American citizen and a Scorpio, as she was born on October 27, 1978, in Wellington, Florida, in the United States. She is a well-known TV meteorologist who has worked for The Weather Channel (TWC).
Childhood and Education
Stephanie Abrams was reared in Wellington by her mother, a piano teacher, and her father, a delivery driver who works at the neighborhood post office. Stephanie developed a keen interest in weather at a young age. She was entranced by rain and storms and loved watching TV documentaries on volcanoes and tornadoes.
She attended a nearby high school where she studied, participated in volleyball and tennis, and tried acting but was never very successful at it. In Huntsville, Alabama, she also participated in the Space Program educational camp.
Upon graduation, Stephanie enrolled at the University of Florida in Gainesville. There, she became a member of the Delta Phi Epsilon sorority and the oldest academic honor organization in the United States, Phi Beta Kappa, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Geography with a minor in mathematics.
She continued her study at Florida State University in Tallahassee, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in meteorology, graduating magna cum laude. She worked on the “FSU Live” news and weather program, which aired on a cable station in Tallahassee, while there to hone her on-air abilities. Her success in the field of meteorology led to her employment at Florida State University as a teaching assistant.
She currently belongs to both the National Weather Association and the American Meteorological Society.
Employment as a Meteorologist
She began her career when she was hired as the morning meteorologist at the ABC-affiliated Tallahassee TV station WTXL. She began working for The Weather Channel in July 2003 as their on-air meteorologist, and from then until 2005 she also served as a reporter and fill-in host for the program “Weekend View.”
Later, Stephanie joined Mike Bettes as a co-host of the program “Weather Center” and “Abrams and Bettes: Beyond the Forecast” in 2006. She started co-hosting “Wake Up With Al” alongside Al Roker on 20 July 2009 and kept the post until 2015 when the show ceased.
In that time, her coverage of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver in February 2010 stands out as her most significant achievement.
She filled in for departing weather anchors Janice Huff and Bill Karins on the television program “Weekend Today” in 2012. She co-hosted the shows “On The Radar” and “Morning Rush” on The Weather Channel from 2012 to 2013, and she presently hosts “American’s Morning Headquarters.” She frequently steps in for her buddy Al Roker on “Today.” Stephanie played herself in the movie “Sharknado 2: The Second One,” despite not being an actress.

After graduating from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in atmospheric sciences, he began working as a weekend meteorologist at WSYX/WTTE in Columbus, Ohio. Before joining The Weather Channel in 2002, he continued his career as the chief meteorologist at WLOS in Asheville, North Carolina.
He co-hosted “AMHQ: America’s Morning Headquarters” and is currently the host of “Weather Underground.” He first met Stephanie in 2006 while they co-hosted “Abrams & Bettes: Beyond the Forecast.” After quitting in 2009, he continued broadcasting “Your Weather Today” until 2012.
He covered numerous winter storms and floods while on the ground during Hurricanes Sandy and Katrina. When an EF3 tornado attacked him and his team in El Reno, Oklahoma in 2013, it hurled their SUV 180 meters into a field and caused everyone to suffer serious injuries, including Mike breaking many bones. Since 2012, he has been wed to Allison Chinchar. Since her divorce from Mike, Stephanie is single, and there have been no allegations that she has dated any other men.

Stephanie enjoys playing tennis and golf with her coworkers in addition to being physically active and frequently out in the field. Her primary pastime is traveling, and she has taken numerous trips to the US for both business and pleasure as well as to France and England.
