$7.45 RECIPE / $1.86 PER BOX
I’m continuing my no-cook lunch box series with The Cheese Board Lunch Box today!
This cheese board lunch box is for anyone who is perfectly content nibbling on a charcuterie board for dinner rather than as an appetizer. Just beware: this lunch box will encourage you to have a glass of wine with your meal!
VEGETABLES, WHERE ARE THEY?
Yes, I’m normally a vegetable-with-every-meal guy, but I believe it’s possible to have this lunch box while still maintaining a sense of balance in your day.
Make a veggie-heavy breakfast bowl, like my Vegetable Breakfast Scrambles, and a veggie-heavy dinner, such as stir fry, soup, or a meal-worthy salad. Alternatively, you could always pack a side salad to go with this lunch box. 🙂
CAN I ADD ANYTHING ELSE TO MY CHEESE BOARD LUNCH BOX?
This Lunch Box is incredibly versatile, just like all of these no-cook lunch box ideas! You can add or replace any of the ingredients in my package with the following items:
- Pickles
- Grapes
- Apple slices
- A small container of your favorite jam
- A small container of pesto
- Olives
- Almonds
- Dried cherries or cranberries
- Sliced bell peppers
ADDITIONAL MEAT OPTIONS
In my cheese board lunch box, I used salami, but there are so many more alternatives. Other cured meats, such as prosciutto, capicola, and soppressata, can be used.
If all of that sounds too sophisticated or difficult to come by, essential deli meat can suffice! Roll the slices into little “cigars” for a more attractive appearance, and you’ll still feel like you’re enjoying a fancy lunch.
WRAP THE CRACKERS TO KEEP THEM FRESH
To keep the moisture from the other ingredients out of your crackers, wrap them in an extra fold-top sandwich bag or waxed paper.
Because I’m lazy, I didn’t do this, and my crackers became a little soft, but I still loved the box for the next four days.
WHAT TYPES OF CONTAINERS DO YOU USE?
Pyrex makes these containers, which are my favorite for meal prep. Despite the fact that they aren’t separated, the single compartment makes them quite adaptable.
The cover is also simple, snaps on, and contains no moving parts that could break.

THE CHEESE BOARD LUNCH BOX: HOW TO MAKE IT
- All of the ingredients for this lunch box may be found in this list. You can use any cheese or crackers you choose. I grabbed a box of mixed crackers and chose sharp cheddar. If you’re looking for more ideas, look over the list at the beginning of the post.
- In a sandwich baggie or waxed paper, slice the cheese and wrap five crackers in a group (I skipped wrapping my crackers). All of the components should be divided into four containers.
- Refrigerate your cheese board lunch boxes for up to five days, or until you’re ready to eat. Enjoy!
