Paleo diet or caveman’s diet is a controversial dietary pattern. But it is popular with the higher section of society and Hollywood celebrities.
They pursue it and also recommend it on their social media pages. Though not medically advocated, this modern fad diet has been used by many to shed off their excess fat.
Hollywood celebrities who have used Paleo diet for weight loss
Some studies have shown that caveman’s diet might assist a person to lose weight and slim down. There are many Hollywood celebrities who have used it for weight loss and found it to be effective.
Kaley Todd, RDN, a staff nutritionist from San Francisco and working at Sun Basket says:
“Everyone can benefit from eating more fruits and vegetables, and choosing whole over processed foods,”
1. Jessica Biel
This beautiful actress from the USA is fully on paleo diet. Her routine and favorite breakfast includes paleo pancakes that are topped with cashew or almond butter and local honey.
She has green tea with fresh fruit juice and chicken apple sausage. And in a day, she also consumes vegetables, salad, rice, and salmon. In an interview, she had praised the Paleo diet:
“Honestly, I just feel better when I don’t have gluten or wheat or dairy,”
She remains true to it to date.
2. Channing Tatum
This great handsome actor was named the sexiest man alive in 2012. He began a Paleo duet when he was getting ready for his role of an Olympic wrestler for his film Foxcatcher.
He was mainly on vegetables and meat at that time. But once in a while he cheats on this diet. He revealed:
“I’ll cheat on weekends and have some wine or vodka. And I’ll have one big meal like breaded rock shrimp. I love comfort food,”
3. Eva La Rue
This actress of CSI Miami fame is 55 but has maintained her figure well. She is on a Paleo-like diet. She told Canada’s Vive magazine:
“I limit carbs and pack my diet with vegetables and protein, like grass-fed meats.”
4. Phil Michelson
American professional golfer, Phil Mickelson desired to lose weight for his game. He sought the help of Paleo diet for it. His strength and conditioning coach Sean Cochran gave an interview to GolfDigest and said:
“Phil’s basically following a paleo diet, which is gluten-free, no sugars, and no processed foods,”
“You have to wonder how a Twinkie can have a five-year shelf life. That can’t be good for your performance.”
5. Aisha Tyler
American actress and comedian, Aisha Tyler eats a modified Paleo diet. She revealed:
“This means, for the most part, I avoid refined carbohydrates, grains, dairy, and sugar,”
She eats avocados two times a day. Aisha also loves nuts of the organic type.
6. Matthew McConaughey
This great actor has a diet rich in high-fiber, low-starch vegetables, sustainable proteins, and good fats. Starchy foods like potatoes are out.
Though Paleo diet means no alcohol intake, Matthew does take wine a little for balance. He also uses whey-protein shakes for extra energy.
