Who Is Azaria Claim?
Fitness model and IFBB Figure Pro contestant Azaria Glaim. After winning the 2014 Canadian Nationals, she became the youngest IFBB Pro from Canada.
At first, Azaria Glaim started doing weights to maintain her health and shape.
Azaria’s physique improved so significantly in the months after she began training, though, that other people began advising her to enter competitions. Why not give it a try, Azaria reasoned. However, she didn’t believe that this would be fruitful.
Azaria won her first show and two more after that, much to her surprise. This included the Canadian Nationals, where she won and entered the IFBB Pro circuit as a result.

Biography (Early Life)
2014 Summer Fitness Beginners
Azaria began working out in the early summer of 2014. She had been working out for a few months at this time and was pleased with her progress.
I hadn’t exactly been training for a year at that point, but I still adored going to the gym. Even though I didn’t always know what I was doing, I felt good as long as I was training.
A Talk That Will Change Your Life
After a demanding day, Azaria headed to the gym one evening to let out her anger.
She encountered a tall man on the way to the gym, who introduced himself and informed her that she will one day serve as an example for others.
“An incredibly tall man approached me, greeted me, and immediately began talking life into me… How he saw me in the future inspiring both men and women greatly. Without ever knowing me, what potential he recognized in me.
Azaria asserted that she sensed their meeting that evening was connected to something much bigger than just a workout and that she didn’t consider it to be a coincidence.
Taking Up Competition
Later, the man Azaria talked with advised her to participate in fitness competitions.
Azaria first resisted because she thought she wasn’t prepared to compete.
“Competing was something that always attracted me, but struggling with anorexia and eating disorders made it difficult for me to completely view myself in that way,” the woman added.
On second consideration, Azaria decided to enter competitions because she had nothing to lose.
“I thought about it, talked to my husband Brodie, and I just decided to go for it,” she said.
Initial Show
Azaria Glaim met her coach as part of her preparations for the competition, and she assisted her with her fitness, food, and posing.
The moment the two met, the coach recognized Azaria’s enormous potential. He was amazed by me and predicted that I would be a professional athlete by the end of 2014.” I laughed and grinned at him, letting him have his huge dreams unhindered.
Become The Smallest Canadian Professional
The outcomes confirmed that Azaria’s coach’s forecasts were accurate. Azaria competed in her first show and won first place after months of practice.
A week later, she won the overall title at the Provincials, capping off her winning streak. The biggest test then arrived.
Azaria performed at the 2014 Canadian Nationals just two weeks later. She won both her class and the overalls at the age of 20, making her the youngest Canadian professional ever.
Darren, my instructor, is a man of his word, Azaria stated after the show. You’ll get what you put into it if you work hard enough.

Training (Workout)
Training Summary
Azaria has a very regimented workout schedule. She has a detailed schedule for her workouts that includes the exercises, reps, and sets.
Her goal is to “develop muscle maturity” throughout the year by lifting large weights. She concentrates on maintaining a thin, tight waist while also working her back and leg muscles.
Azaria doesn’t take vacation days until they are really necessary. She thinks she needs to be “obsessed” with her sport to succeed.

Back Exercise Advice
Azaria Glaim usually works out at the gym once each week. She acknowledges, however, that she can’t always abide by this rule because she enjoys working out her back even on rest days.
She does wide-grip pulldowns to activate and warm up her lats before beginning her back exercises. She then moves on to working sets, performing 15–20 repetitions per set.
Drop sets are introduced by Azaria to increase the difficulty of the workout as it goes on. “I just add drop sets once I can’t lift larger weights.”
Azaria won’t, however, lift as much weight as she can throughout the contest preparation; instead, she will concentrate on lesser weights with 12–14 reps per set.
Full-Back Exercise
Here is a detailed explanation of Azaria’s back exercise;
Exercise #1: Wide-grip pull-downs behind the neck
- 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps
- Azaria ensures to keep her back arched to target her muscles more efficiently
- She also makes sure that the top of the bar doesn’t go above her head. According to Azaria, going further than this can only increase the chance of injury.
- Her hands stay spaced out wider than her shoulders during the entire exercise.
Exercise #2: Seated Rows (Narrow and Wide Grip)
- 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps
- At the bottom of every rep, Azaria ensures a full stretch of her lats. At the top, she keeps her back arched for maximum muscle contraction.
- She switches between wide and narrow grips to target different parts of her back. “Narrow grip hits the lower lats and mid-back thickness, and wide grip hits your mid and upper back.”
Exercise #4: Bent-over Dumbbell Rows
- 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps
- Azaria keeps her core and scapula stabilized throughout the whole movement.
- She also keeps her elbows close to her body which helps to fully contract her lats.
- She ensures the full stretch on her way down.
Exercise #5: Wide-Grip Pull-ups
- 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps
- Before she begins the movement, Azaria stabilizes her scapula, holding her shoulder blades together. This way, her entire back gets engaged once she starts doing pull-ups.
- She does her best to control all parts of the movement: concentric, isometric, and eccentric.
Exercise #6: Bent-over Barbell Rows
- 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps
- Before she starts with the exercise, Azaria first stabilizes her core and scapula.
- Just like with dumbbell rows, she keeps her elbows close to the torso for maximum lat contraction. Azaria says she received this tip from none other than the 6-time Mr. Olympia Dorian Yates.
“Finish starting! I can only advise rivals to have pleasure in their current location. Make an effort. Accept everything, and be pleased with who you are! There will be ups and downs, but resist acting on your feelings! Azia Glaim
Nutrition (Diet Plan)
Azaria maintains a consistent, trim shape all year long.
No matter if she competes or not, she consumes the same foods every day. She can prepare for her contest considerably simpler as a result.
She will, however, eat extra calories if she wants to bulk up or alter the contour of her body.
Influences And Idols
Coach Darren played an important role in Azaria’s journey to the top. Azaria had developed an incredible figure with his assistance, making her the youngest Canadian IFBB Pro.
As she puts it, “Darren provided the appropriate advice, and I had the mindset that I could achieve it.” Azia Glaim
