Biography

Lanceford’s First Moment

Romane Lanceford struggled with his food and exercise as a teen, which contributed to his early obesity. Lanceford joined a nearby gym in the hopes of improving his health despite having no experience with exercise and nutrition.

He started lifting huge weights, but he didn’t do the workouts properly or with the right technique. He acknowledges that it was not the perfect circumstance; rather, it was more of a friendly competition.

“Every workout at the gym was a race between my friends and me to see who could lift the most weight. This method of training, along with ignorance, caused a variety of ailments and issues.

Lanceford left his old gym, which had just 100 members, and stepped into a professional bodybuilding gym, which was strewn with several trophies on the walls, after realizing he needed to modify his lifestyle and approach to training.

He was motivated as soon as he walked inside the gym and saw the professional accomplishments lined up on the wall.

Lanceford went over to the gym owner, who also happened to be the owner of the majority of the awards displayed on the wall, and asked for his training and dietary recommendations. According to Lanceford, “This was the tipping point.”

“In many ways, bodybuilding saved me. I had too much energy and was leading a party lifestyle.

Without a productive means to focus my passion, I was rapidly losing ground. I noticed that I was heading straight into danger. I am most proud of changing my life around.

A Game-Changer

He felt he needed to focus his efforts on something better because he led a reckless lifestyle that included partying most of the time.

Lanceford’s life began to resemble something very different from his wild teens after learning about weight training, a new gym, and a new trainer.

After intense exercise, tight diets, and an eating-exercising-sleeping routine. Lanceford quickly transformed his life from being overweight and unfit to becoming one of the top fitness models in the UK and the world.

Competition Background

Lanceford began his competitive career in 2013 by winning the Men’s Welsh Physique Champion title at his very first competition.

It took him less time than he anticipated to become famous. He was the first representative of his hometown of Bristol to ever take home a prize. Due to this, he became famous overnight.

Lanceford continued to compete after experiencing success in a recent competition, racking up victories and top positions on stage, until he was hospitalized for a month in 2015 due to a tropical infection.

He allegedly came dangerously near to losing his foot due to illness.

Being the real champion and legend that he is, Lanceford did not let any illness or setback stop him from winning.

He fully recovered because he then won the English Grand Prix, the Zak Khan Classic, and the Arnolds Classic in Madrid, placing first, and first, respectively. He won the title of 2015 Amateur Mr. Olympia Mens’ Physique Champion and British Champion.

Coaching and Collaborations

After collaborating with Lisa Hawthorn, the two are now able to support one another on social media and conduct business together.

Lanceford is currently working as a coach for folks who want to achieve their ideal figure. He continues to train tirelessly while overseeing customers and is always hungry for more.

Training

Lanceford will mostly train with 3–4 sets of each exercise for 12–15 repetitions. For a certain body area, he may perform up to 8 sets during some of his exercises.

In line with his objectives, the reps will also change. If he needs to change things up, they may go up to 25 or 30.

Exercise intensity will also differ. His usual body parts and the recommended sets and reps make up a typical workout, but when getting ready for competitions, he has been known to up the number of exercises per body part to 7 or 8.

He will only do weight training three days a week during his off-season, doing cardio and ab exercises on the other days.
