Making Tortellini Bake
It’s so easy to make this creamy baked tortellini recipe.
- Tortellini should be prepared as directed on the packaging. They will cook more in the oven, so don’t overcook them.
- Construct the cheese sauce (per the recipe below).
- Everything should be combined, covered with the remaining cheddar cheese, and baked uncovered.
Variations
- Replace the ham with leftover chicken or turkey.
- Replacing peas with leftover roasted vegetables
- Include freshly prepared, crisp-tender steamed, or sautéed vegetables. One of my favorites is steaming broccoli!
- Trade out the cheeses for whatever is in your fridge. Make certain that at least one of the cheeses has a strong flavor.
Shortcut: Add the cheeses after replacing the homemade sauce with jarred Alfredo sauce (you’ll need about 22 ounces or 1 1/2 (15 ounces each) jars).
Replace the ham with leftover roasted vegetables or chicken.
