Short Career of Nick Scott

Nick Scott was involved in a terrible auto accident that would force him to spend the remainder of his life in a wheelchair.

Biography

Early Years

Nick Scott was a typical high school freshman for the majority of his time there. His road toward fitness began at a young age when he developed a keen interest in sports, particularly American football.

Nick started playing American football as a means of winning the attention of women.

Nick eventually started to develop an athletic figure, but he wasn’t content with that. He wanted to continue his fitness quest.

He began doing weights to build up his body and developed a keen interest in bench press competitions in high school. He maintained his motivation to pursue his interest since he aspired to be the best.

The situation would quickly deteriorate though. The arrangements he had made would be dramatically changed by a significant event that would occur in his life.

Life-altering Harm

Nick had severe injuries in a violent vehicle accident when he was 16 years old. He was en route to practice for American football, but he never arrived.

Nick hurriedly tried to dodge the oncoming car as it crossed his path, but his efforts backfired. His vehicle repeatedly flipped over as it down an incline. He was flung from his car and suffered critical wounds as a result.

Although bystanders rushed to help him, the pain didn’t start to affect him seriously until he arrived at the hospital.

Nick spent the rest of his life in a wheelchair due to a broken back and severely damaged spine.

When His Life Began to Fall Apart

Doctors informed Nick that he would never be able to walk again after his injuries. He took this hard, and it damaged his sense of self.

All of his fitness aspirations had been dashed. He genuinely believed that his playing days were behind him.

Nick’s anxiety at never being able to accomplish something he loved swiftly set in. He started to struggle with depression and gained weight as a result. He had changed significantly since then.

Nick eventually went back to high school. He reasoned that the encouragement of those around him would make him feel better about his predicament.

However, it only made him feel worse. Nick felt worthless as he watched his friends perform tasks that he was no longer able to perform, realizing how far his life had fallen.

He would then be inspired to make positive changes in his life, wanting to put his darkest moments in the past. At this point, he started taking action to rekindle his fitness quest.

When He Rediscovered Fitness

Nick concluded that his current way of life was unsustainable. He decided to not let the fact that he was now wheelchair-bound prevent him from achieving his objectives.

While Nick was unable to execute some exercises, such as the squat, he still wanted to improve his strength in the ones that he could.

He rekindled his love for the bench press and started focusing all of his attention on getting stronger at it, saying:

“I didn’t need motivation since I kept myself motivated by thinking that I was stronger than everyone else.”

Nick swiftly started losing weight after completely overhauling his diet and exercise regimen.

Over time, Nick would continue to develop his physique and set out on a mission to spread the word about wheelchair bodybuilding.

He was suddenly more motivated than he had been before his injury, and he started making the most of it.

Given his progress so far in his fitness adventure, Nick was confident he could go further.

Competition Background

Beginning with powerlifting, Nick faced out against competitors who were not in wheelchairs. His desire to advance in his fitness goals was accurately reflected by this.

Along the way, he had fast success, winning the Bench Press Championships Pinnacle as the overall champion.

After some time, Nick changed his mind and switched from powerlifting to competing on the bodybuilding stage.
