Biography

Histories of Torrie

On July 24th, 1975, Torrie Wilson was born in Boise, Idaho. She calls herself a “painfully shy” child who frequently feared making friends or speaking up in class.

Torrie continued to participate in school-related activities like cheering, dance, and subsequently, competitive track and field, despite this. Torrie cherished participating in each of these activities and sports.

Anorexia and Modeling

Torrie’s enthusiasm for dancing and sports waned as she entered high school. Torrie Wilson instead developed a passion for modeling, and even her mother encouraged her to make it her job.

Eventually, Torrie and her mother decided to take Torrie to a modeling agency and see where that would take her. They were shocked to learn from the agency that Torrie needed to lose weight to get hired since she had too much body fat.

Torrie decided to start dieting, but while she did so, she developed bulimia and anorexia nervosa due to her obsession with her appearance.

Combating Disorders

At the age of 20, six years after she first started to struggle with severe mental and eating disorders, Torrie began to regain control of her life after many ups and downs on her road to recovery, including depressive episodes.

Torrie’s fitness helped her overcome the disorders; she was able to restore control of her body and mind by weightlifting and eating six well-balanced meals every day.

Fitness Entrant

Torrie started thinking about competing in a fitness competition when she became “captivated” by her new lifestyle of exercising and eating well.

Soon after, she participated in her first competition and finished third. She won the 1998 Miss Galaxy pageant a few months later.

Torrie “lived and breathed” the exercise lifestyle over the ensuing two years.

She established a reputation for herself in the industry by routinely competing in fitness competitions and signing sponsorship agreements with several fitness businesses.

Wrestling Begins.

When Torrie took her boyfriend to a World Championship Wrestling event in 1999, her career in wrestling officially began.

Torrie was urged to enter the ring alongside professional wrestler Scott Steiner while she remained backstage. As soon as Torrie consented, her career in professional wrestling began.

She made her professional wrestling debut in the “Samantha” storyline when she wooed David Flair into betraying his father.

David’s father was smacked by Torrie during the performance, and David used a taser to zap him.

Party on the Beach

After her debut on WCW television, Torrie took a break of around two months before returning to help David Flair enter the ring once more.

At the 1999 Bash at the Beach, the two shared a stage for the second time, this time with Torrie serving as David Flair’s valet as he successfully defended the WCW USA Heavyweight Champion Title against Dean Malenko.

Increasing Standing in the Ring

Torrie participated in the ring with several wrestlers and artists between September 1999 and December 2000. including Shane Douglas, Billy Kidman, Eddie Guerrero, and David Flair.

By the end of 2000, Torrie had left World Championship Wrestling. She made one final appearance in an episode of Nitro in the spring of 2001.

Presentations on Television

On June 28, 2001, Torrie made her television debut in SmackDown! as a member of The Coalition, also known as The Alliance, as a villain.

Torrie frequently collaborated with Stacy Keibler, another WCW talent, during her appearances on SmackDown! At the Invasion pay-per-view event, they competed in their first-ever match as a team in a Bra and Panties contest.

Publication Covers

For the first time in her career, Torrie was featured on the cover of an adult publication in May 2003. She once engaged in a brief narrative argument with professional WWE wrestler Nidia.

This brief plot thread generated a lot of interest in Torrie and raised the magazine’s profile and readership.

Devils of Vince

In the two years between 2005 and 2006, Torrie was a member of the Vince’s Devils, a group of nasty female wrestlers.

The quartet included Lisa Marie Varon, also known by her ring name Victoria, Candice Michelle, and Torrie.

The band Vince’s Devils officially broke up in March 2006.

WWE Performances

Against ECW Diva Kelly Kelly, Torrie made a surprise appearance on the ECW brand on August 22nd, 2006.

The Sandman, Torrie Wilson, and Tommy Dreamer faced Kelly Kelly’s team, which was made up of herself, Test, and Mike Knox, in a six-person mixed tag battle because the contest’s winner hadn’t been determined.

After the game, Torrie’s team was deemed the winner.

At WrestleMania XXV in 2009, Torrie made her comeback to the ring alongside other former divas.

Torrie was defeated by Beth Phoenix in the “Miss WrestleMania” battle royal during which they all participated.

Torrie has made nine appearances in WWE video games in addition to her official stint with WWE. WWE SmackDown was present in some of them.

WWE SmackDown, the Pain Is Coming! Put Your Mouth Down, WWE Day of Reckoning 2, WWE WrestleMania XIX, and WWE SmackDown! vs. Raw in 2006, 2007, and 2008.

In addition, Torrie has had several magazine appearances, including a cover appearance in an adult publication in May 2003.

The purpose of Torrie’s appearance at a well-attended event on September 14th, 2008 was to increase public awareness of the medical problems of former professional wrestlers.
