Princess Anne
Princess Anne is a senior member of the royal family of England. She is the daughter of the late Queen of England, Elizabeth II.
And she is sister of King Charles and paternal aunt of Prince William and Prince Harry. She is the only daughter of the late Queen and her late husband, Prince Philip.
Earlier, she was married to Mark Phillips and has two kids with him. They are daughter Zara and son Peter. But the couple is divorced now. And her second husband is Timothy Laurence. Anne is 71 years of age now and still active in royal duties and engagements. She has to remain energetic for these activities. Moreover, she has remained slim and fit despite her age. What is the secret of her fitness and beauty?
Diet of the Princess
Anne has a balanced diet that keeps her energized throughout the day. Anne is never shy to snack whenever she is hungry or feels the urge to do so. The former royal chef Darren McGray reveals that the Princess loves to eat and enjoys fruits. She usually has bananas in the morning at breakfast.
But Anne prefers overripe bananas. The chef had told Today magazine:
“Princess Anne almost always preferred the bananas almost black – overripe – because they digest easier,”
Compared to green or golden yellow bananas, the overripe ones have easily digestible sugars. The complex carbs of the bananas breaks down into sugars and is easily digested and absorbed.
Moreover, she likes kiwi fruit. Her daughter Zara had revealed:
“She [Anne] always has a kiwi fruit,”
Robert Hardman wrote the bestselling royal biography titled: Queen Of Our Times: The Life of Elizabeth II, that he released in March 2022. This biography carried the above words of Zara. Kiwis have high content of vitamin C and K and can digest meat and other forms of protein. They are also rich in antioxidants that are beneficial for body and health.
Expert nutritionist views on Anne’s lifestyle
Charlotte Norton, Medical Director at The Slimming Clinic told Express UK:
“While the usual weight loss rules would have applied, such as burning more calories than she consumed, eating lean meat, reducing sugary foods with little to no nutritional value and avoiding fad diets, there are additional things that I believe Princess Anne would have done.”
The dietitian added:
“We know that the Princess is also a fan of smoked herring – a great protein-rich dish.”
“As we grow older, we are in danger of losing muscle mass – protein helps with weight loss efforts since it keeps you fuller for longer.”

Further, Charlotte added:
“Other foods that I imagine she eats regularly are salmon, whole eggs, and grass-fed beef.”
“I also believe that Princess Anne would be consuming a greater number of smaller meals and snacks throughout the day – not going any longer than three hours without eating.”
