Accomplishments

  • Male Fitness Model
  • Sponsored Athlete

“I absolutely love the fact that this is an individual sport. I control what I gain, and what I don’t!”

Biography

After being bullied in high school, Alex immediately began training weights. He weighed a total of 112 pounds, thus he wanted to develop a robust and healthy physique.

He no longer desired to be the target of bullying. “I didn’t want to be the skinny kid anymore,” Alex reflects. “So, I advanced swiftly in the gym and every day expanded my understanding of fitness.”

His weight increased by 26 pounds after a year of rigorous training, and he was able to keep his body fat percentage under 5%. After spending a total of three years in the gym, he developed a 196-pound lean body.

Since then, Alex has developed into a well-known bodybuilder and fitness model. He still inspires and motivates individuals around the globe while working as a personal trainer.

As a personal trainer and brand ambassador for his sponsors, Alex continues to uplift and inspire individuals all over the world.

“I feel the HIIT keeps my metabolic rate up, and helps me keep my “shredded” look. It helps me to burn body fat while leaving the majority of my lean mass alone.”

Training

Every day, Alex Michael Turner enjoys doing exercise to keep his body fat low and his heart in good shape. After each weight training session, he will do 20 minutes of cardio.

Alex will perform HIIT on Sundays because he believes it keeps his metabolic rate far higher than steady-state cardio does.

Alex will exercise for anywhere between 30 and 45 minutes on his HIIT day. He will race up and down the stairs in stadiums or on the Stairmaster.

Alex will superset hanging leg lifts with knee rises to get his well-known abs. Each session will also terminate with a drop set until failure.

This, in my opinion, enables me to break down every component of the muscle region I’m exercising, while also delivering extra blood into that body part for the increased pump, muscle separation, and hardening.

Alex’s Exercise

  • Monday – Chest, and Triceps (with abs)
  • Tuesday – Back and Biceps
  • Wednesday – Quads and Calves (with abs)
  • Thursday – Shoulders
  • Friday – Triceps, and Biceps (with abs)
  • Saturday – Hamstrings and Calves
  • Sunday – Sundays are my HIIT days!

“When prepping meals, I will generally grill 8-10 chicken breasts at a time. I steam several stocks of asparagus and cook my rice at the same time.”

Nutrition

To maintain a low body fat level, Alex will largely use carb cycling or a low-carb diet.

Additionally, he never exceeds 250g of carbs per day on his high-carb days. Alex can certainly tell when he’s eating fewer carbs since his abs are more visible.

“Try cutting your carbohydrate consumption if you are hitting your lifts hard, performing your cardio diligently, and keeping to your HIIT.”
