Who is Binais Begovic?

Binais Begovic is a Swedish bodybuilder, businessman, and fitness model who is originally from Montenegro.

He is the editor-in-chief of one of the most prestigious and established fitness and health periodicals.

Short Career of Binais Begovic

Judo, a sport in which Binais Begovic excelled throughout his youth and into his mid-teens, ignited his desire for fitness. He viewed the gym as a way to enhance his martial arts performance and strength.

But after observing the effects of weightlifting, he concluded that bodybuilding was what he wanted to concentrate on.

After relocating to Sweden in 1998, Binais started participating in bodybuilding competitions. He wanted to be the best in everything, including bodybuilding.

He had an advantage over other competitors on stage thanks to this “innate” ambition, which netted him three awards.

Binais developed into a sports icon over time. More than 60 fitness and health magazines, TV shows, and advertisements have all featured him. He has also launched his own supplement business.

Judo and weightlifting

On May 20, 1982, Binais Begovic was born in Montenegro. Binais has always had high expectations of himself and has strived to excel in all he does.

This mindset carried over to Judo, another one of his loves. Binais, a member of the national Judo team, was one of Montenegro’s youngest Black Belt holders at the age of 16.

Binais’ shift to bodybuilding started after he and his family relocated to Sweden in 1998. He was working out at the gym at that time to increase his strength and Judo’s performance.

He soon developed a taste for weightlifting, though, and it became his brand-new obsession. After just one workout, he declared, “I realized this was something I wanted to concentrate on.

I simply loved the challenge of choosing when what, and how to train, as well as the pump I got, the feeling of being huge, the gym environment, and the discipline of diet and training.

Bodybuilding Contests

Binais was able to bulk up considerably over three years of training. As he put it, “I got bitten by the competitive bodybuilding bug,” this inspired him to test out his new physique on the bodybuilding stage.

In 2001, he made his stage debut in the Swedish Nationals. That day, Binais finished in the third position. One year later, he competed at the same show and got the same outcome.

Binais won his first Swedish National bodybuilding trophy in 2004, which was the first time he had experienced triumph.

He then understood that he could pursue a lucrative career in bodybuilding. He then decided to relocate to California, the home of bodybuilding.

Binais competed in his first American bodybuilding event, the NPC Orange County (CA) Classic, two years later. Binais won his first competition in America thanks to his exceptional conditioning.

Business Projects

He was expanding his health and training-related enterprises in the meantime by applying his understanding of nutrition and exercise.

He established a network of health and nutrition businesses selling various supplements between 2005 and 2008.

Binais was successful in many facets of his life. But he had only barely begun.

Years Later

Binais continued to grow his influence throughout the next years in the world of bodybuilding. He appeared in some of the most well-known fitness and health publications, TV commercials, and catalogs around the globe.

Binais and his wife, Dr. Catherine Begovic, acquired one of the top bodybuilding and fitness publications in 2015, solidifying their status as role models and industry leaders in the bodybuilding community.


HIIT vs. cardio

On his low-carb days, Binais prefers to perform regular cardio. He enjoys practicing Judo at his dojo on carb-load days, also known as high-carb days. He claims it’s more enjoyable than simply using a treadmill to stroll.

In the Beginning

According to Binais, there is no right or incorrect technique to lift weights. Every workout program, in his opinion, has the potential to produce fantastic results, but it all depends on the body type and genetics of the individual.

For everyone who is a beginner, he advises staying with a simple strength and hypertrophy training routine.

Before attempting other “fancy” training regimens, this is the greatest method to add substantial size and strength, in Binais’ opinion.

The pyramid training principle is the simplest, most widely used, and most efficient way to develop a large, powerful body. When performing pyramid sets, you gradually lower the reps while raising the weight. Binais Begovic

Binais claimed that all he needed to keep his fantastic figure and stay in shape is a barbell and two dumbbells.

Put me on a remote island with an Olympic barbell, two dumbbells, and a couple of cans of protein powder for months, and I’ll still look the same when you see me, he declared.

Because he thinks that many bodybuilders overcomplicate things, he frequently emphasizes the value of “keeping it simple.” That, in Binais’ opinion, is the secret to having fun and progressing in the sport.


A sample diet

Binais consistently varies his food to break up the monotony of the procedure, just like he does with his exercise regimen.

He does, however, have a typical cutting-meal plan, which seems as follows;

  • 7.00 am: 10g L-Glutamine, 2 scoops of fat burner, Testosterone booster, 1 glass of water
  • 8.30 am: Breakfast – 1 cup oatmeal (80g), 2 whole eggs, 6 egg whites
  • 11.00 am: Snack – 2 scoops of whey protein – 240 ccs low-fat milk
  • 2.00 pm Lunch – 2 chicken breasts, Broccoli
  • 4.30 pm: Pre-workout drink – 4 scoops of pre-workout, 30 g dextrose
  • 5.00 pm Intra-workout- EAA, L-Glutamine, L-Arginine, Creatine
  • 7.00 pm Post-workout Drink – 2 scoops of whey protein
  • 9.00 pm: Dinner – 250g of chicken, Carrots
  • Midnight snack: Fat-free Greek yogurt

Total Calories: 2172

This is the kind of diet Binais favors when he wants to reduce his body fat. He restricts his caloric intake early on in his diet so that he can use up all of the remaining glucose in his muscles and liver. Then, he doubles his daily calorie intake to 3000 kcal.

The Crucial Meals

Pre- and post-workout meals, according to Binais, are the most important meals of the day. Using BCAAs, creatine, glucose, or any substance that enters the bloodstream fast, he described the importance of his intra-workout meals for development and repair.
