Biography

Using Junk Food To Build Muscle

Danielle De Haas lived an unhealthy lifestyle for the majority of her youth and adolescence. She frequently consumed fast food and sweets, which contributed to her early weight gain.

Danielle’s bad eating habits persisted until she was in her early 20s when she decided to make a difference in her life by employing a nutritionist and a personal trainer.

She didn’t know much about nutrition and exercise at the time, so hiring a coach was the best option for her to lose weight.

Danielle claimed that she gained a lot of knowledge from her trainer, and she quickly saw changes in her physical appearance.

Danielle started training independently after several months of supervised exercise and eating because she felt confident she could carry on without a coach.

Competitions

Danielle had changed by the time she was 23 years old.

She moved from 69.9 kilograms and 24% body fat to 74.6 kilograms of lean muscle, lowering her body fat by more than 7%, after years of sacrifice in the gym and countless disappointments.

Danielle’s outcomes naturally left her speechless. After a while of investigating, Danielle grew interested in participating and discovered a local show.

Eventually, she began looking for ways to “take her body to the next level.” After participating in her maiden show in Melbourne, Australia, with the assistance of a new coach she had hired, she was able to win the competition.

After winning the tournament, Danielle claimed she was “instantly sold” on her new way of life and set her sights on more esteemed events. Danielle took part in other local and regional shows during the following few years, earning good results all the while.

She didn’t, however, meet the requirements to compete in one of the most prestigious events, the Arnold Classic Australia, until 2016.

She competed against 30 of the greatest bodies in the nation and managed to place impressively sixth in the Amateur Figure division.

Danielle claimed that her new coach, who assisted her in getting ready for the tournament, was largely responsible for her triumph.

Online Iconic

Danielle soon attracted the attention of Melbourne residents, who urged her to begin sharing photos of her makeover on social media.

It worked out well because she attracted a lot of admirers who were motivated by her amazing physique.

Being known all around the world eventually allowed Danielle to develop her brand and launch a personal training company to assist ladies all over the world in changing their bodies and leading better lifestyles. The online stardom, though, wasn’t without its drawbacks.

“Low Self-esteem is something I have battled with for many years. I have always lacked confidence because of the way I look. Sadly, what has made it even worse are the inappropriate and unwarranted comments I have received.”

Unfavorable Online

Danielle has experienced low self-esteem and struggles with her appearance throughout her journey. Additionally, Danielle has faced criticism about her appearance from online users.

Despite this, Danielle persevered and stayed loyal to herself, and today she not only has an amazing body but also a flourishing company and profession in figure competition.

Training

Movement Compounds

Her trainer taught Danielle a lot about weightlifting, and one of the most crucial training tenets he imparted to her was to focus on compound movements with big weights.

According to Danielle, using heavy weights and performing large volumes of exercise will help you develop a lean, awesome-looking figure.

Favorite Workouts

The deadlift, squat, and bench press are three of Danielle’s favorite workouts. They alone, in her opinion, are fantastic for developing a strong, impressive physique, and when paired with isolation exercises, “they are a formula for success,” claims Danielle.

These are the workouts Danielle suggests for developing your glutes;

  • Deadlift
  • Squat
  • Hip thrust
  • Lunge
  • Hip abductor machine

According to Danielle, the ideal method to maximize the effectiveness of these workouts is to “use heavy weight, go slowly, and squeeze towards the conclusion of each rep.”

Her go-to workouts for building a lean, muscular back are;

  • Deadlifts
  • Rack deadlifts
  • Lat pull down
  • Chin-ups
  • Close grip seated row

Strength Training

These are some of Danielle’s record lifts;

  • Deadlift-205kg
  • Squat-145kg
  • Bench Press-90kg

Nutrition

Getting Thinner

Surprisingly, one of Danielle’s first steps toward better health was to modestly increase her calorie consumption.

She stated that she had already tried eating 1200 calories per day, but that it had just made her weaker in the weight room and caused her to lose a lot of muscle mass.

Danielle next upped her daily calorie intake to 1900 while concentrating on consuming high-quality, nutrient-dense foods.

Her new diet allowed her to reduce over 8% of her body fat while simultaneously significantly increasing her muscular mass.

Danielle asserts that consuming more high-quality foods is more crucial than cutting back on calories.

As she sees processed foods and sweets as the primary contributors to overeating and bodily inflammation, she emphasizes the significance of avoiding them.

Last but not least, Danielle said that her coach has taught her a lot about nutrition. What she said following the Arnold Classic tournament was as follows:

“I’m eating more than ever, I’m stronger than I’ve ever been, and I have the lowest body fat percentage I’ve ever had. This is all due to working with a coach that has more education than just a personal training certificate.

He does not use a universally applicable diet. He pays attention to my body, picks up on it, and uses that knowledge to adjust things for me every week. (Danielle De Haas)
