Derrick Lewis Exercise Program

Other players who fight in the league train differently than Derrick does. Given that he exerts less effort than others while yet achieving the highest outcomes, you could even call him a natural talent.

Other boxers train for four to five hours a day at the same time. Derrick works out for two hours every day, and what’s amazing is that before challenging the champion, he used to teach for just one.

He doesn’t do a lot of weight training, and in a Muscle and Fitness interview, Derrick admitted that he doesn’t even spar because it’s hard to find men his size who he can trust. He does, however, practice boxing and other crucial moves with his coach and bags. So, yes, it is amazing that he has progressed this far.

I visited Derrick’s Instagram page to learn more, and there I found a couple more posts about his workout that he had posted there.

In the gym, you’ll see Derrick performing slate-based bodyweight exercises; in other scenes, he’s running slowly; and in still others, there are boxing rings.

Derrick added that he performs five rounds of pad work, followed by 15 minutes on the Stairmaster and 15 minutes on the treadmill.

But I can tell that his exercise regimen has undoubtedly been updated. You can train for an hour twice a day for six days a week to obtain a body like his.

Start your MMA workout in the morning, doing things like pad work, sparring, and whatever else your trainers instruct you to.

Focus on a 30-minute weight training session in the evening that includes moves like dealings, snatch, tire flips, hammer slams, clean and jerks, squats, explosive squats, etc.

Finish it off with a 30-minute run for optimum training results. I suggest it if you want to get as near to Derrick’s physique as possible.

Derrick discussed his nutrition in the Muscle and Fitness interview as well. It was a diet strong in protein, carbohydrates, and fiber.

Derrick drinks a lot of water and absolutely no juice or soda. Foods like chicken breast, rice, grains, smoothies, etc. make up the majority of his diet.

So, yeah, it’s mostly clean; but, Derrick does eat burgers and other things when there isn’t going to be a battle for a while.
