  • Before baking, line the pan with Reynolds Wrap® Heavy Duty Foil to make cleaning a breeze. With any lasagna recipe, this works!
  • Pour hot water over the noodles instead of boiling them while you make the sauce and the cheese combination.
  • Because Reynolds Wrap® Heavy Duty Foil is strong and resilient, using it to line the pan allows you to lift the lasagna out without worrying about the foil splitting, making it simple to cut and serve.
  • Before baking, this meal can be prepared up to 3 days in advance.
  • For the first 45 minutes of baking, bake spinach lasagna covered with Reynolds Wrap® Heavy Duty Foil to prevent drying out.
  • For the final 15 minutes of baking, top with cheese and bake uncovered to get a lovely crusty cheese top.

It’s a terrific idea to bake extra of this meal and present it to a friend or family member. After learning about Reynolds Wrap’s collaboration with Feeding America®, I am very eager to work with them this year.

They are assisting in providing meals to those in need. Did you realize that one in six Americans lacks access to food? All ages, both children and adults, are impacted by this, thus many families and children require assistance.

Reynolds Wrap® is working with Feeding America® to help feed 2 million* families throughout the nation as part of the battle against hunger.

Spinach Lasagna ingredients

SAUCE Although we prefer handmade marinara sauce, using bottled sauce speeds up preparation. If you like, you can use a meat sauce in place of the marinara.

CHICKEN LAYER A beautiful spinach layer is essential in spinach lasagna. Ricotta, mozzarella, and parmesan are added for fantastic flavor. In this dish, frozen spinach works nicely (but fresh spinach can be used as well). Make sure to press out the moisture so the layers adhere.

Our preferred pasta dish is traditional lasagna noodles, which don’t need to be boiled (more on that later). Also available in the refrigerator are fresh lasagna sheets, which don’t need to be boiled.

Effort-saving hint

Even if the lasagna noodles are not oven-ready, you can still make them by pouring boiling water over them while preparing the sauce and cheese mixture.

Make careful to cover the casserole with Reynolds Wrap® Heavy Duty Foil and use a lot of sauce to prevent steam leakage. No boiling and tender noodles!

Making Spinach Lasagna

  2. Prepare Filling Spinach, ricotta, some mozzarella, and parmesan all combined.
a dish with sauce, lasagna noodles, and Reynolds Wrap
  3. Lasagna is layered. Lasagne is layered in a pan that has been lined with Reynolds Wrap® Heavy Duty Foil.
  4. Bake: Bake while tightly enclosing in foil. Remove the lid, add the cheese, and bake until browned.
  5. Take a break for 15–30 minutes to let the lasagna set. Lift the foil out of the pan by grabbing its edges. Slice and serve.

Put it in the freezer

  • Prepare a complete lasagna, extending the foil on each side by about 6 inches, and place it in a casserole dish lined with Reynolds Wrap® Heavy Duty Foil. The lasagna with spinach will avoid freezer burn by being wrapped in foil.
  • Wrap the foil in a fold, then freeze the lasagna. Remove the lasagna from the casserole dish when it has frozen, then cover it tightly in Reynolds Wrap® Heavy Duty Foil. This will enable you to utilize your casserole dish for other purposes until the time comes to thaw and cook the spinach lasagna.
  • Place the foil-wrapped lasagna back into the same pan and bake it at 350°F for 75 to 90 minutes, or until it’s hot throughout, to bake from frozen. After adding cheese and baking for an additional 15 minutes, remove the foil top.

  1. Set the oven to 350°F. Use Reynolds Wrap® Heavy Duty Foil to line a 9×13 pan.
  2. For 15 minutes, place the lasagna noodles in a pan with boiling water. Dry off after rinsing with cold water.
In the meantime, warm up some olive oil in a big skillet over medium heat. For about 5 minutes, add the onion and garlic and simmer until soft. Italian seasoning and pasta sauce are added. Cook for a further five minutes, or until slightly thickened.
  3. Spinach should be squeezed to eliminate moisture while the sauce is boiling. 2 1/2 cups of mozzarella cheese, 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese, an egg, and fresh parsley are combined with the ricotta cheese. Mix well.
  4. Put 1 cup of sauce in the bottom of the pan that has been prepared.
  5. Add three lasagna noodles on top. Add 1/3 of the sauce, followed by 1/2 of the spinach and cheese mixture.
  6. Now, add the remaining 12 of the spinach and cheese mixture, 3 additional lasagna noodles, and 1/3 of the sauce.
  7. Add the final three noodles and any residual sauce on top.

  9. After cooling for 20 minutes, slice.
