Ingredients/Variations

In this variation, a flavorful sauce created with cream of chicken soup, spices, and cheese is baked with turkey, mushrooms, and noodles.

VEGETABLES One of the best things about this dish is that it can be made heartier by including vegetables like broccoli, peas, or carrots.

You may substitute any medium-sized pasta for the penne!

MEAT
This dish is frequently made using leftover turkey, but if you don’t have any, you may also substitute ground turkey, shredded chicken, or even sliced smoked sausage.

How to Prepare a Turkey Casserole

  1. Prepare the pasta. In order to prevent overcooking while baking, make sure it’s al dente (very firm).
  2. b(per the recipe below). Sauté the garlic, onion, and mushrooms. Add the mushroom mixture, soup, milk, seasonings, and half of the cheese.
  3. Blend, then bake. Pasta and meat are combined. Add topping, then pour into a casserole dish and bake.
