TV presenter Kirstie Allsopp was overweight. It was her personal choice. But in order to avoid future health issues, she decided to lose weight. She overhauled her diet and exercise regime and lost 2 stone.

TV presenter, Kirstie Allsopp hosts the show Location, Location, Location on channel 4. She was overweight and realized that this could land her into health problems in the future. Therefore, before her 50th birthday, she decided to modify her diet and start exercises in order to shed the extra weight.
Kirstie managed to lose 2 stone with the metabolic balance diet. The nutritional therapist Amelia Freer helped her in this weight loss journey. Amelia had earlier also coached James Corden and Sam Smith . She had helped them improve on their weight and lifestyle.
Amelia made a personalized diet plan for Kirstie. The TV host cut out 4 food items from her daily diet. These were potatoes, aubergines, bread and wine. Talking about it, Kirstie explained:
“I don’t eat them [potatoes] anymore, and aubergines don’t agree with me.”
“Wine doesn’t agree with me so now I drink vodka martinis.”
The foods she deleted were her personal choice.

Amelia asked Kirstie to have three meals in a day, five hours apart. Kirstie felt that the diet was easy to follow and adhere to. She expressed:
“The first bite should always be protein. Eat greens and proteins and keep carbs to a minimum,”
Now, she eats more greens. While dining outside, she prefers to order two salads. Moreover, she has stopped being a pasta person for a while. She had to change the way she looks at foods.
She said:
“It’s viewing vegetables as carbs. It’s always the beans, the broccoli – there’s no need for potatoes.”
About reducing sugar, Kirstie said:
“That’s the most extraordinary thing when you reduce your sugar, it’s weird, it doesn’t feel as if you’re depriving yourself when you think it isn’t part of your life.”
2 stone weight loss
Kirstie was able to achieve a weight loss of 2 stone with Amelia’s guidance and the metabolic balance diet. Her dress size fell from size 16 to size 12. Her old clothes no longer fitted her. But since they were handmade clothes, she was able to alter them to fit her well now. Kirstie explained on it:
“I design a lot of my own stuff. As it had been made in the first place it could be altered. I had lots of stuff taken in.”
She had some very old favorite dresses that she had outgrown when she put on weight. But now as she got smaller in size, she could revisit them and that made her happy.
She appreciated the services of NHS. Kirstie said she wanted to lose weight in order to lessen the risk of breast cancer. She said that like alcohol, smoking all bad habits should be stopped and losing weight was a step in that direction for her.

Kirstie stated that she is aware that certain diseases and health conditions can make losing weight difficult for the person. But such conditions are very very few. By and large, most people can strive and succeed to shed the extra fats and get healthy.
