Reasons We Adore This Recipe
These simple BBQ chicken sliders are certain to succeed! Every single time, the chicken is tasty and excellent!
We adore the fact that this dish simply calls for a small number of components! Bacon, onions, barbecue sauce, and chicken! Simple and delicious.
This may be prepared in advance (even the day before) and cooked to feed a family or a hungry crowd on game day, which is something I adore.
The slow cooker can be used to keep the chicken mixture warm so that your visitors can serve themselves.
Variations and Ingredients
Chicken The reason I use breasts is that they are lean, cook well, and shred easily. If you only have thighs on hand, you can use those in this recipe. If using chicken thighs, skim any fat after cooking and then shred.
BBQ sauce There are no rules. If I have it on hand, I use homemade, but if not, store-bought works just as well! Use your favorite ingredients because the BBQ sauce contributes a lot of taste (If buying store-bought, I like this one).
BBQ Chicken Sliders Recipe
Easy as pie is how to make chicken sliders in a slow cooker. Simply combine the ingredients and let the slow cooker do the work, just like with pulled pork!
- Crisp up the bacon, then caramelize the onions in the bacon oil you saved.
- Everything should be put in the slow cooker.
- Pour the water used to deglaze the pan into the slow cooker after thoroughly mixing it.
In this dish, precooked bacon or bacon pieces are acceptable. Instead of using bacon fat to saute the onion when using precooked bacon, use a little olive oil.
Sliders’ Finest Buns
Naturally, Hawaiian rolls are a favorite for sliders, but dinner rolls, tray buns, and even handmade biscuits can also be used.
In all honesty, pretty much anything will taste fantastic when served with this delicious chicken. So feel free to buy a package of rolls that are ready to be served.
Delicious Chicken Slider Toppings
These chicken sliders can be served in a variety of ways.
- What about topping these with some sliced tomatoes or traditional coleslaw? Delicious!
- Alternatively, try them with a pineapple ring or a dollop of pineapple salsa on each sandwich! Hawaiian sliders in a flash!
- Anyone for hot sauce? Or about some green onions and nacho cheese? Yum!
- French fried onions Must I say more?
How to Handle Leftovers
Serve over rice or macaroni and cheese.
The chicken from the grill freezes well. Place all of the sauce and the leftovers in an airtight container with about 2 inches of room for expansion. Cooked poultry dishes will keep for 3–4 days in the fridge and 4-6 months in the freezer, according to FDA recommendations.
