Popular celebrity and host of numerous shows, Ryan Seacrest, is a name well-known in Hollywood.
Ryan Seacrest, who is from Atalanta, Georgia, was born on December 24, 1974. He is a media personality and a show producer currently associated with Live with Kelly and Ryan as a co-host. He is also engaged in the singing reality show American Idol as the show’s host.
The multi-talented show-business personality is also actively involved in the fashion world with his clothing and accessories collection named Ryan Seacrest Distinction.
The 46-year-old is a known philanthropist. He has worked with various children’s hospitals throughout America with Ryan Seacrest Foundation, which was founded in 2010.
Seacrest isn’t understood to be married to anyone, but the host with a charming personality has dated several people through the years.
However, despite his relationship timeline involving people of the opposite sex, rumors of him being gay seem to surface repeatedly in the media.
Is Ryan Seacrest Gay?
Seacrest’s dating history suggests that he is not gay.
Based on a recent report by Us Magazine, Seacrest has been involved with several partners over the period spanning over seventeen years.
From 2003 to 2005, Seacrest dated model and actress Shana Wall. During their relationship, Seacrest was spotted with ex-partner Wall during the 2005 Primetime Emmy Awards.
In 2006, the American Idol host went on a blind date with Desperate Housewives actress Teri Hatcher. A photograph of the two kissings each other surfaced sometime later.
In 2010, Seacrest had a relationship with actress and country singer Julianne Hough. Unfortunately, after dating for three years, singer Hough and Secrest went their separate ways.
Later, the famous television persona, Seacrest, was in an unstable relationship with Shayna Taylor, his “on and off” girlfriend of over seven years. Last year, the former couple split and went their separate ways.
Interestingly, Seacrest is lately seen actively advocating for the LGBTQ community. A few days earlier, he tweeted a picture of himself with American actress Kelly Ripa to show his support for the queer community.
While this showcases his attachment to the LGBTQ community, it does not reflect his sexual orientation.
What Caused The Gay Rumors to Spread?
In 2008, Simon Cowell was asked by journalists if Seacrest was gay. He first responded by asking the reporters to reaffirm the person’s identity, and upon knowing it to be Seacrest, Cowell joked and called him to be “happy.”
Another incident involving Cowell and Seacrest, which dates back to October 2015, fueled the ongoing gay rumors. During the airing of one of American Idol episodes, Cowell joked again and asked Seacrest to “come out of the closet.”
However, it wasn’t the first time on the set of Idol that the two exchanged gay references, with the previous incident dating back to 2003.
