Kristin Cavallari and her cookbooks
The reality TV star, Kristin Cavallari is not a new face. Everyone knows her and her famous roles have been on the TV series, Laguna Beach, The Hills and The Real Orange County. She is an entrepreneur and an author. Her cookbooks, Truly Comfort and True Roots have been released already. And they have been New York Times bestselling cookbooks.
Moreover, recently on 11April 2023, she released another cookbook with the title Truly Simple. In this, there are easy, quick and simple recipes that everyone can follow and create. Kristin had confessed:
“I’ve never tried to say I’m a chef by any means, I’m just a mom who loves to cook.”
And talking about her three cookbooks, she says:
“True Roots and True Comfort had nothing “white” in them: no white flour, no white sugar, no white salt. But in Truly Simple, I bend a little bit in a few of the recipes, which really reflects where I am in my life and my new way of eating. Everything is a little bit more relaxed around here now.”
Kristin’s favorite vegetable
When queried about her favorite vegetable, Kristin replied:
“It would 100% be cauliflower. I love cauliflower because I think it’s very versatile, and there’s actually a Sweet Harissa Cauliflower recipe in Truly Simple that’s my absolute favorite cauliflower recipe on the planet. If you’ve ever been to True Food Kitchen, their cauliflower was the inspiration behind it. There’s this sweet harissa dressing that’s on it, and there’s little chopped-up dates in it, so it has that nice balance between sweet and savory. It’s the absolute best.”
The TV actress also revealed that earlier she used to hate cilantro and felt that it tasted like soap. But now she likes it and can even drink cilantro sauce too.
Kristin’s three pantry staples
The actress keeps these three pantry staples handy always. Her pantry cupboard would always have these stuff in it. They are canned coconut milk from Native Forest, avocado oil which she uses for cooking and frying and good quality salt. Talking about the salt, Kristin explained:
“I have this Icelandic sea salt that I’m obsessed with that I put on everything. I just think that salt elevates every meal. If I could only have one spice or seasoning to cook with, mine would obviously be salt.”
