Keeping Responsibility in Check

Laura Ivette, who was born in the Dominican Republic in 1990, was an aspirational youngster who did well in school and later pursued a degree in biomedical science.

Due to her lack of spare time, Laura picked up some bad habits. including consuming alcohol and low-quality manufactured foods.

Laura started to dislike how she felt and looked as a result.

Laura admits, “At initially, I had no idea what I was doing. Laura, however, started witnessing improvements in her physique after engaging a professional trainer and then a nutritionist.

Laura noticed a six-pound weight loss within a few months of engaging a nutritionist.

But as soon as Laura entered graduate school, the weight and her old behaviors returned. Laura concluded that if she wanted to keep her body in good shape over the long term, she had to completely alter her lifestyle.

Bikini contestant

Around this time, Laura stumbled onto a photo of her acquaintance who was taking part in her first fitness competition. Laura was awestruck by watching her buddy compete, and she was inspired to take the stage herself.

Laura believed that participating in fitness competitions would compel her to make long-lasting changes to her training and eating habits.

She then got in touch with her rival friend and requested assistance. Laura’s acquaintance introduced her to a fitness squad that assisted her in beginning her competitive career.

Starting with difficulty

At first, Laura found it difficult to give up alcohol, dairy, and other processed foods and drinks from her diet.

She worked full-time, attended school full-time, and spent over 12 hours a week shopping for food, preparing meals, and working out in the gym.

“I had to cut ties with my loved ones, friends, and my traditional diet. This was extremely hard for me to accomplish, but I knew how terrible I wanted to attain my objectives and I knew that food and those who loved me would still be there for me when I did.” — Laura Ivette

Cardio: Laura Ivette’s Perspective

Laura’s cardio workouts vary in frequency based on her current objectives.

She will perform two or three quick HIIT sessions each week if she is off-season.

However, Laura will engage in HIIT and steady-state exercise up to six times per week if she has to reduce body fat for a competition or picture session.

Nutrition

Simple and Successful Diets

The only components of Laura’s diet are preparation, self-control, and sacrifice.

When Laura first began her makeover, she found it challenging to eat only lean, whole foods throughout the day without any room for cheat meals.

But as time went on, Laura not only became accustomed to this kind of food, but she also lost the ability to picture her life without it.

Asparagus, dark leafy greens, grass-fed beef, eggs, chia seeds, quinoa, whole grain bread, nuts, and healthy oils are a few of the items Laura now frequently consumes.
