Biography
Young Years
Laura was born and reared in England, where she started practicing gymnastics at age 5. She developed a liking for the activity and spent her entire adolescence honing her skills.
Laura had become a high-level gymnast by the time she was in her early twenties; at this point, her family thought she would become a professional.
Injury
Laura was 23 years old when she was injured while participating in a gymnastics performance. She was unable to continue her passion after tearing her rotator cuff.
Devastated, Laura shifted her focus to working out in the gym in the hopes of recovering her shoulder so she could resume gymnastics.
Bodybuilding
After concentrating all of her efforts on getting better from her injuries, Laura quickly developed a passion for weight lifting. Due to the strenuous nature of gymnastics, she had always had a slim body, but she added muscle and toned her body.
Soon after, her friends started to notice her amazing gym development and encouraged her to think about competing in bodybuilding shows.
In light of this, Laura improved her performance to prepare for life as a bikini athlete.
Inaugural Competition
Laura was prepared for her first tournament after a year of diligent training. She competed in the Bodyfitness division of the 2013 UKBFF MuscleTalk Championships in Bedford.
Laura’s perseverance and diligence paid off. She won first place in her first show thanks to the judges’ praise for her physique.
The former gymnast understood after this victory that she might succeed in the fitness industry.
Card Pro
Laura worked out for the next six months, advancing quickly and starting to lift heavier weights to improve her performance for her next competition.
As a result of her victory in her first tournament, she was given entry into the WBFF World Championships and a shot at the elusive Pro Card.
With her sights set on becoming a professional bikini athlete, Laura took the stage at the 2014 WBFF Worlds in Las Vegas, over a year after her debut performance.
She beat more seasoned bodybuilders and won, exceeding all expectations for a debutant. But it didn’t end there.
Laura received her Pro Card after taking first place in the global contest.
Taking a Pause
The former gymnast accomplished the incredible feat of turning into a professional WBFF athlete in the first two years of her competitive career. But Laura felt the effects of her laborious preparation and emotional tension.
She started having issues with her self-image and felt down since she couldn’t keep up her stage-ready physique year-round.
Laura developed an obsession with eating well, and for a brief period, her life was consumed by her commitment to bodybuilding.
At this point, Laura’s spouse started to understand the severity of her concerns and began to assist her in resolving them.
Individual Training
Laura eventually overcame the toxic moment in her life with the aid of her partner. She gave up measuring her diet and started treating herself to cheat meals once a week.
Laura wanted to assist others to become fit and prepare for shows healthily now that she was back on track with her fitness journey; she didn’t want others to make the same mistakes as herself.
The WBFF Pro started mentoring aspiring bikini athletes in 2015, utilizing her website as a platform to connect with people all over the world. By 2016, she had successfully prepared several competitors, even assisting them in obtaining their own Pro Cards.
I no longer take as many “selfies.” This was a significant contributor to my issue since I was utilizing these photos to garner praise and comments, which was a significant factor in what was motivating my unfavorable behavior regarding my body fat and nutrition.
“I only listen to music when doing cardio since the beat keeps me moving while allowing me to “zone out” at the same time.
Training
Laura Leeson wants to work out in the gym five days a week to maintain and further build her amazing physique. She enjoys performing pull-ups, deadlifts, and squats.
Laura switches up her cardio routine so she doesn’t become bored with any one workout. To maintain a high metabolism, she will engage in HIIT (high-intensity interval training) or LISS (low-intensity steady state) cardio on an empty stomach.
“I no longer weigh and prepare my meals. Even though I still eat healthily 90% of the time, I can now indulge in a biscuit without feeling guilty.
Nutrition
Laura is aware of the value of eating clean, healthy food as well as the drawbacks of a severely restricted diet. She tries to eat four meals a day to keep her body well-fueled for growth, but when she gets desires, she allows herself to indulge in a few indulgences.
Her diet is primarily composed of lean meats, leafy greens, complex carbohydrates, and good fats. She regularly consumes the following foods:
- Chicken
- Salmon
- Eggs
- Brocolli
- Asparagus

Influences and Idols
Laura Leeson cites her friends, family, and relationship as her key influences. She gives special gratitude to her spouse for helping her get through challenging times in her life.
She claims, however, that her internal motivation is what drives her most:

“Yes, I do create objectives for myself. I believe this is crucial since it provides drive and motivation.”
How Can Laura Leeson Teach Us Something?
We’ve learned from Laura’s experience not to take life too seriously. She overdid it in the gym, overdid her diet to the point of exhaustion, and this led to concerns with her self-image.
Laura Leeson, though, inspires me with her perseverance. During her first two years of competition, her dedication helped her win the WBFF World Championship and obtain her Pro Card.
