Countryfile presenter, Hamza Yassin has joined the dance competition show on BBC One, Strictly Come Dancing. But the 32-year-old host shared that he is too large for the show. He is conscious of his great weight but has struggled with it for long.

Hamza Yassin is host of the show Countryfile and Animal Park. He is wildlife cameraman and presenter who joined the dance show on BBC One called Strictly Come Dancing. He has excess weight and hence had genuine fears on how he would be able to do the dance moves on the show.
Recently, he confessed about these fears. He revealed that he has struggled with weight in the past for a long time. He is 32 now and on the show revealed his problems of diet.
Hamza was homeless earlier but he has managed to overcome it. He also suffered from severe dyslexia or learning disability. But Hamza has fought it and is able to make an earning for himself now through his TV shows. He now has eyes on the Glitterball Trophy and is determined to win it.

On last Saturday, the show judges were impressed with his dance moves. It was the movie week and he danced with his dancing partner Jowita Przystal to the music of the movie Jurassic Park. His moves were impressive. The ex-rugby player wants to get as fit as possible and win this season of the show. Before the show, he had expressed:
“My biggest challenge will be my weight and my fitness.”
“I’m a big dude and I think I’m strong but imagine me like a rhino where I can have a short burst of energy and then I’m knackered afterwards.”
“I don’t want to be a rhino, I want to be a dolphin that’s constantly moving through water that can go for hours and hours.”

Since he joined the show, Hamza is watchful of his diet. He feels he is too big for the jive. But Jowita thinks otherwise. She does not agree with Hamza. She said:
“You’re not too big for the jive. You did everything I asked for. I see the talent.”
He has a huge fan base. On Twitter, they requested Hamza to not body shame himself. They feel he should concentrate on his dancing. He is skilful and can achieve what he wants.
Hamza was born in Sudan and is a resident of Scotland. He is a wildlife cameraman and presenter. He played the role of Ranger Hamza on the children’s TV channel CBeeies.
Earlier, at age of 8, he moved to Northampton in England, the UK. He holds a Masters degree in Biological Photography and Imaging of the University of Nottingham. Later at his age of 21, he moved to Scottish Highlands for work.
