Tom Stoltman is the strongest man in the world. In 2022, he bagged this title for the second time.
To have all that strength and muscle mass, what would Tom consume daily? He takes an enormous 8000 calories worth of food per day. And, he doubles this caloric intake on the days of his competition.
Tom Stoltman and his strength
Several bodybuilders in the world compete and show off their athletic muscles. They boast great strength and high energy levels. Tom Stoltman is one such bodybuilder from Scotland.
He is the world’s most muscular man. This year, he gained this title for the second time in a row. And this year, the competition was in Sacramento, California from 24th to 29th May 2022. And Tom won it.
During these competition days, Tom had given an interview to a Business insider about his enormous diet. He had said:
“I gained 14 kg in a week during the competition, which was quite easy for me because the serving size of America is much higher than in the UK.”
Tom was born on 30 May 1994 and is 28 years old now. He stands tall at 6 feet 8 inches. And his weight is 180 kg or 397 lbs.
More on Tom’s daily diet
Tom revealed in the interview that on other days he has 8000 calories worth of food. And on the days of the competition, it increases to around 15k calories per day.
Tom elaborated on how it increased to 15k calories from 8k calories. He said that the servings of foods in the USA are larger than that in the UK.
Therefore,in the USA, a BBQ sauce with a cheeseburger, ketchup and a chocolate milkshake provides 1721 calories. Whereas in the UK, this much amount of food would give only 1369 calories.
The reason is that in the latter case the servings are relatively smaller. Hence when he had 6 meals in the USA that was equivalent to 10 to 11 meals in the UK.
Tom’s food included the following: pancakes with bananas, strawberries, and honey for breakfast. The lunch included three burgers and fries.
And at night time, he used to have pasta along with a dessert of chocolate cake. Specialized nutritionists had planned this diet for him.
Other healthy foods in Tom’s diet
Tom also ate eight eggs, four pieces of bread and mushrooms per day. He added other fruits to his diet and also had drinks made of whey protein powder. This he used to take after the workout along with doughnuts.
Other foods included cooked rice 250 grams, noodles, and one big potato. There were ample quantities of vegetables in it and also 300 grams of non-veg foods. He admitted that 10% of his calories were from junk food.
