YouTube star Elizabeth Lail is a married woman!
The actress and Nieku Manshadi, a child dentist, were married at Hasbrouck House in Stone Ridge, New York, where they also celebrated their first anniversary.
She said it felt fitting to go back to a location from our narrative and tell those we care about it.
To COVID-19 requirements, the couple decided to have a small wedding with only 22 guests present. They also made sure everyone was immunized. To ensure everyone’s safety, they decided to invite only their families rather than wait any longer.
Lail told Brides about how she met her husband at a party in Williamsburg where they shared a friend. Originally planned as a weekend getaway, the couple’s trip to Montauk, New York, evolved into a proposal by fire when Manshadi dropped down on one knee and asked the woman to marry him.
An Examination of The Private Wedding
The newlywed Lail felt it logical to organize the wedding during a period of ambiguity. She searched Pinterest for ideas because they didn’t have a clear vision for their wedding, but once the venue was reserved, everything just came into place.
“We didn’t have a strong vision, and it’s easy to become overwhelmed by possibility, so we just waited and listened for what felt good. The wedding revealed itself to us over time as more and more creatives became involved.”
The Once Upon a Time actress wore a custom Andrea Hawkes gown made of Marrocaine silk. At the same time, the groom was dressed to the nines in a dark navy suit from Freemans Sporting Club, according to Lail, who revealed that all of the wedding’s planning decisions, from picking the date to selecting the cake, were based on recommendations and availability from Hasbrouck House.
She encouraged other couples to do the same, saying it was a precious opportunity to connect before getting caught away in the excitement. Before the wedding, the two exchanged love letters during their first look.
Lail and Neiku exchanged traditional and Baha’i vows in front of a floral arch after she walked down the aisle; she thanked florist Dark and Diamond for bringing “so much joy to [her] ceremony.” Another element of their magical day was the wedding playlist that Manshadi put together and that she has not stopped singing since.
