These buttery Garlic Mushrooms are delicious! You’ll be feeding these Mushrooms with everything since the herb garlic butter sauce is so delicious!

A standard side dish in every restaurant, cafe, tavern, and steakhouse, pan-seared Garlic Mushrooms are a household favorite everywhere.

However, to obtain the BEST flavor, I’ve changed a few things and added a few other ingredients to normal garlic mushrooms over the years.

You’ll adore this quick side dish that cooks in just 10 minutes and tastes great with anything! Low carb and ketogenic friendly!

Garlic Mushrooms

Imagine a sheet pan full of garlic butter mushrooms for breakfast. You can also serve them as a side dish with roast chicken, pork roast with crackling, or a tender steakhouse steak.

You can even cram mushrooms inside chicken breasts thanks to their versatility! Or keep it straightforward and put them on toast (or garlic bread).

The recipe’s name refers to how garlic mushrooms are often prepared, which includes butter and garlic. You will appreciate the other components we add more, though.

Because everyone benefits from a little extra flavor!

Making Garlic Mushrooms

You simply need a few items for my recipe:

  • Mushrooms
  • Unsalted butter — use unsalted to control the amount of salt added.
  • Olive oil — just a little oil added to the butter gets them nice and crispy on the outer edges and prevents the butter from burning.
  • Garlic — please use fresh where you can.
  • Herbs — we love parsley and thyme, but you can use oregano, rosemary, basil, etc.
  • Salt and pepper.

Optional:

  • green, red, yellow, or white onion Although this item is optional, I believe it improves the flavor of the garlic.
  • Dry white wine is optional as well. You won’t regret trying it if you’ve never added wine to your garlic mushrooms.

I’m done now! White wine and onion, two optional additional ingredients, are what set this dish apart from others for garlic mushrooms in a nice way.

Cleaning Mushrooms

If necessary, remove any loose dirt and debris from each mushroom by wiping it over with a damp paper towel or delicate pastry brush. One at a time, work.

Rinse briefly with cold water, then completely pat dry with a paper towel.

Mushrooms should not be soaked because they will soak up water like a sponge and won’t brown when cooked.

Serving suggestions for Garlic Mushrooms

Everything is OK, especially for those who enjoy mushrooms. Salmon, chicken, pork chops, steak, ribs, and garlic mushrooms all go well together. Alternatively, serve them as an appetizer with a fantastic cheeseboard!

Mushroom Tips

  • Size: To guarantee consistent cooking, choose mushrooms that are roughly the same size.
  • Type: In addition to the button mushrooms shown here, you can also use wild mushrooms or Cremini (Swiss brown) mushrooms. Pick a kind of mushroom you are familiar with!
  • To keep mushrooms from becoming slimy, rinse them both before and after cutting them.
