Karina started participating in sports after being motivated by her brother. When she enrolled in high school and joined the cross country team at the age of 14, this involvement got underway. Karina competed in a variety of sports during her four years of high school, including cheerleading. She was able to lay the groundwork for her future involvement in the fitness lifestyle through these activities.

When Karina graduated from high school, she enrolled at the University of Florida. Cross-country and cheerleading were quickly replaced by a part-time group exercise teacher position.

At this point, Karina began frequently attending the gym, giving up her free time so she could look and feel better. After putting in months of effort, Karina grew interested in enhancing her figure to compete in bikini contests, and she soon started doing so.

Karina rapidly adapted to the competition lifestyle after winning the Miss Lake Mary scholarship contest during her senior year of high school.

Her first significant competition, the World Fitness Federation Pro Bikini Championship, began in 2014. In addition to taking first place in the bikini division, Karina also took home the overall victory.

Following her victory, Karina experienced an “uphill” journey through life. She quickly established a social media presence where she began to share images of her trophy-winning physique, gaining a following of like-minded individuals from all over the world.

Karina wasted no time in starting to model for some of the biggest agencies in the nation. In 2013, she was featured on the cover of the most well-known Singapore magazine and made appearances in several small TV ads. By the age of 26, Karina had completed all of this.

Karina explained that she is “addicted to the endorphins” that she experiences following a successful training session when asked how she stays motivated. She claims that exercising is something she enjoys doing rather than something she has to do.

Karina prefers to exercise with heavy weights. She maximizes growth by completely utilizing all of her muscle fibers in this way.

She thinks that women have a harder time gaining as much muscle as males do because they have lower levels of testosterone. Karina claims that she can build powerful, well-toned muscles by lifting weights.

  • Plyometrics – Karina never leaves this one out. According to her, plyometrics are a great way to feel the benefits of both cardio, and resistance training at the same time. Besides raising her heart rate, Karina strongly believes that plyos also help build a decent amount of muscle.
  • Running – Karina says this one is her favorite. Whenever doing cardio, she will choose to go outdoors for a run. When in the gym, Karina uses the treadmill machine.
  • Hack Squats – She likes to do them in the middle, or near the end of her workout to isolate the hamstrings and glutes. Which are already primed and stretched from her workout.
  • Deadlifts – An overall bodybuilding exercise. This particular movement is one of the foundations of Karina’s training regimen.

Although the fit is to the bone, beauty may only be surface deep.
